We conquered the trace round trip on August 1, 2015.

 We started our trip from Sumrall station at about 8:00 am riding to Prentiss and back, stopped for lunch and then rode to the USM campus and back arriving in Sumrall around 5:00 pm.

This was our first time on the longleaf. The trail is in great shape for the most part. There are a few areas where the asphalt is buckling and it is rather bumpy but the trail is mostly smooth. There was more grade to the trail than we expected from reading the reviews but maybe we were just tired as this is the longest ride we have done in one day.

The stations are nice with clean restrooms, vending, water and benches to rest the legs.

Overall - great trip.
