Kids (of all ages) are invited to a movie night in the PEERY CENTER GYM starting at 7:00 PM on February 22, 2020. There is no admission fee. Light concessions will be available - donation. Kids may bring pillows and blankets if they so desire. If this is successful and something the community wants, it could be a regular event. Come and bring your friends.

ANNUAL CERES HOMECOMING AND RAFFLE

It was with sadness that the Ceres Alumni Association had to cancel the 2020 annual homecoming in Ceres.  However, as many of you may know, the Association is continuing with its annual raffle this year.  Tickets are $1 each.  Some of the prizes are:

·        Ruger American Predator Rifle – 6.5 Creedmoor, Bolt Action w/scope  *

*Winner must meet firearm requirement or may receive money

·        Framed P. Buckley Moss Print          

·        Computer Tablet                                   

·        Handmade Quilt  (maybe 2)               

·        Handmade Rug                                         

·        2 Throws                                                     

·        Several gift cards and other prizes.

The winning tickets will be drawn at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 28th.  The drawing will be filmed and, possibly, shown live on Facebook.  Thanks to all who have returned their sold tickets.  If you need additional tickets or have questions, call (276) 682-4255.  All sold tickets need to be returned to P. O. Box 32, Ceres, VA 24318 by November 22, 2020 to ensure their being included in the drawing. 

Mark your calendar for the 2021 Ceres Homecoming on the third Saturday in October 2021.  We all hope and pray the Covid-19 virus will be gone by them.  Stay well.
