Enjoyed the race. Thank all of you for keeping this run going.  I know it requires a lot of planning and hard work and time to put together this event.  Mississippi needs this event and I tell everybody I can about it.  You do a superb job with the race instructions, aid stations (loved the HEED), and website.

We will definitely be back, this time I'll try the 50K.-
We managed to drag along Dr. Thomas and Dr. Rhambod as well.

If its not too late, a special thanks to Harry Strohm,

who walked most of the race with us. He was a big help, since this was his 11th time. Enjoyed his hospitality after the race also. Sue and Larry Pritchard, WV

Just a short note to thank everyone involved with setting up  the race Saturday.   Everything was very well done.  Enjoyed the pasta dinner at the train station the night before the race.    The aid stations and volunteers were great.    A little humid and on the warm side during the run but that's way better than being rainy.   And those cokes served with ice  at the aid station at the start/finish  were heavenly delightful.

Thanks again - Bobby

Yes, we really liked the race. We both ran it 2 years ago.  It was
canceled last year due to Katrina damage that hadn't yet been
cleared.   The forest there is nice, and the trails easy for running
(well, we were there on a low water year - I've seen
pictures.......  :-)   )

I'd think it would be a great first ultra.  It's pretty flat....it IS
Mississippi after all !  The support is great and they allow you to
move up or down in race length on the fly if you want and are having
either a good day or a bad day.  Since it's in the spring the summer
swelter hasn't arrived yet.

Nice job C.T.

Well, at least David and Michelle will appreciate the race. It is run on
remote trails in the Desoto National Forest south of Laurel, Mississippi.
There were three races in one; 50 mile, 50k and 20k. I did the 20 and
achieved my dual goal of finishing and not coming in last.

The weather was great. Wonderful race. (at 74 I was the oldest competitor).

You all did an excellent job of organizing and putting on a great race.  The dinner was delicious, and I appreciated the briefing that evening.  I think everyone got lucky with the raffle!  The trail was well marked.   Even a trail running newcomer like myself would have to try hard to get lost.  It got warm, but, hey, that's running in the south!  Thanks for a great run!

This is MoJoe from Cleveland, Ohio (Joe Vasil).  I just want to say how impressed I was with everything about this event.  This is an excellent race for a 50 miler first timer like myself.  I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, especially everyone I met on the support staff.  It truly felt like a personalized event, and I want to thank you again.  keep up the great work, and I hope to bring a few others from up North to future races.

Dear Dennis and Elmer (Running Bear)-

Just wanted to write and thank you both for another fine running of the
MS 50.  It was good to see that the trail is back in shape and usable.
Your volunteers were as welcoming and hospitable as always, and I
greatly appreciated seeing their bright smiling faces along the way.

Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Well, just a note to thank all of you for a great run.
The volunteers and all the refreshments were wonderful.
The race officials that I emailed often with questions, were so quick to respond to them.
