| Sacred Heart Academy girl's cross country team recently captured their division at the Region 1A Mississippi High School Athletic Association meet held at East Central High School. Sacred Heart boy's team placed second at the meet. The team is coached by local runner and Pine Belt Pacer member, Robin Ryder. Two other Pacers ran outstanding races as they won their divisions at high school meets. Corey Rigdon of West Lauderdale won the Division 5-4A meet in 17:02.11 for the 5K distance. Amy Benoit of South Jones won the Division 5-4A with a time of 16:03.67 for the 4K distance. |
