Frostbite Half Marathon - Starkville, MS January 19, 2008 |
Race Report by Jim Ford The day ended up being cold a and windy but Starkville didn't receive any snow. The participants met and were bused to a little town called Pheba. The race started around 12:30. Nearly 200 people participated in this event. The run was fun but you ran with the traffic of a public road and there were numerous hills. There was ample support from volunteers along the course. The MHP helped with slowing oncoming vehicles. The winner, Todd Hagadone, finished in a course record 1:12:22. I finished in 1:37:10.
