Run For Grits

Saturday, May 24 a group of Pacers met at the Cloverleaf Center Ward's for the "Run For Grits." This event was to enjoy a morning run followed by breakfast at the Ward's. After a brief meeting in the parking lot, we divided into four groups and headed out for a run which ended up being 4-6 miles, depending upon the group.

After finishing the run we headed into Ward's for our reward---food. This date marked the 30th anniversary of the founding of Ward's. Ward's family member Vicki Ward's store is a Pacer business partner and as such presented participants with a goodie bag which included a t-shirt, frisbee, cup, sunglasses and candy.

The following Pacers were in attendance:

Becky and Robin Ryder, Donna, Dale and Levi Sumrall, Vicki Copeland, Terry Lawhead, Keith Barrett, Jim Coll, Kily Garcia, Joni Dunbar, Jodi Lee, two of Donna Sumrall's students (sorry I didn't get names), and Toby Brown. Toby was one of the early members of the Pacers who is in the Air Force, stationed in San Antonio.

This was a fun event with great food, goodie bag and a hot and humid run. You should have been there!
