There were several Pacers at this event including Susan Davidson and
Raul Anzola. Raul was taking photos (his track wounds are slowly
healing). The Blueberry Jubilee 5K started (almost) on time. After a
first failed shot with the starting gun the race got going and I
quickly discovered that the course description of "slightly hilly"
actually meant "lots of small hills." The heat and humidity slowed
everyone down but there was a volunteer (or maybe just an enthusiastic
spectator) with a SuperSoaker and a nice couple cooling people off
with a garden hose. There were no mile markers which I found
challenging. There were plenty of water stations but one table had a
cooler and no cups! I finished in 25:02, slower than usual but a time
I was happy with, given the weather and the hills. Warm Powerade and
water were offered at the finish as well as oranges, bananas, and
blueberries.
Race results were slow in coming but we had ample entertainment while
we were waiting and had a picture taken with Miss Blueberry and saw
the Piney Woods Cloggers perform at the main stage. The presentation
of awards was a little disorganized. Several Pacers placed in their
age groups. This is not an inclusive list:

Laura Anderson      1st in age group
Adrienne McPhaul  2nd in age group
Tisha Zelner          3rd in age group

The Blueberry Jubilee really made this a fun time. There were lots of
crafts to look at and plenty of blueberry products to choose from.
