From Jen Torres (the Running Artist) With a 3 AM wake up call the day started out bleary and almost immediately the thunder and lightning started too. Actually it had been storming all night, so sleep was elusive from the get go. I got to the race site at 5:00 am, got a great parking spot, actually any place not underwater made for great parking. Regardless of the weather the volunteers were cheerful and friendly and assured me the race would go on.
