Sending Race Reports

Tips on sending race reports to the Pine Belt Pacers:

 
Scale pictures down to <= 600 x 480 pixels. If you don't have an easy way to do this with your camera software, see Picsizer.
 
If you only have 4 or 5 pictures, rename them to the caption you want, e.g.: First place overall.jpg. Don't put any periods or special characters in the captions. Limit the captions to 80 characters or less.

If you have more than 4-5 pictures, or need longer captions, instead number the pictures (If your camera numbers them as most do, use those. If not use 1.jpg, 2.jpg, etc.) and also send a list of captions:
1. Me crossing the finish line at Boston in first place. Unfortunately I was 2 seconds off the current record and did not get the Mercedes.
2. Kip Choge finishing 2 minutes behind me. Smoked him!
3. etc.

 
The report itself can be in txt, rtf, or doc as you prefer. Try to be like  Running Bear, and include at least some truthful statements in the report.
 
If there's a race logo you can get, that would be nice.

If you can, get results for the race, or ask the Race Director to send us an e-mail with results. If they are going to be posted somewhere, that is just as good, send us the url. If you have to prepare them yourself, when possible use Excel or put them in a Word table so the columns will stay lined up when posted.
