Saturday, October 2 Martha Ray Sartor and Burtch Davis ran the 5K in Asheville, North Carolina at the Citizens-Times 5^th Annual Half Marathon event.  Hundreds of runners sped through Asheville’s hilly streets in mountain cool temperatures.  Martha Ray ran her usual great race while Burtch placed third in his age group.  Both felt good about their performance in this strenuous run.  Afterwards a street party was held at the historic Grove Arcade featuring blue grass music.  This race was originally scheduled for September 18, but Hurricane Ivan caused race organizers to postpone.   For complete results go to the Citizens-Times.com website.
