Bonita Lakes Classic Race Report Summery

The Bonita Lakes Classic was held on Saturday, May 14, 2005 in Meridian, MS.
  With warm and humid conditions and a temperature of 75 degrees,
approximately 87 runners compited in the 5K event, 30 walkers in the 2-Mile
race, and 20 children in the 1-mile fun race.
Participants from Hattiesburg swept the top spots in both races.  Thus, Alae
Khannouchi dominated the 5K run and was the overall winner in 15:34.  Back
in second was Corey Ridgon crossing the line in 16:35.  Mike Thrailkill was
third in 17:18 followed by Mostafa Khannouchi in 17:39.  The first female
finisher, Amy Benoit, finished in a time of 21:04. In second place was Staci
Stanley (21:51).  Amanda Armstrong finished in 22:26 for third.  In the
2-mile walking event, Nestor Raul Anzola was the overall winner in 22:50. 
Second and third place went to Johnnie Bradley (23:25) and Dave Davis
(27:14) respectively.  Savannah Vance was the top walker in the women
category crossing the line in 25:26 followed by Erin Thornton (25:27) and
Natalie Vance (25:28).  Conswella Hooks from Hattiesburg (22:57) placed
second in her age category in the 5K run.  The event was organized and
