300 Oaks Road Race

The 25th Annual 300 Oaks Road Race took place in Greenwood, MS on September 16.  It was a nice hot but not humid day.  Rob Oates finishing in 35:32 led the field of 139 runners in the 10K run while Richard Sturniolo (29:15) won the 5K walk.  488 people competed in the race walking event.  The Port City Striders won the team competition followed by the Viking Range and Balkamp teams.  The women's 10K race was dominated by Angel Overstreet in 41:45.  Emily Lee was the winner in the 5K Walk in 32:48.
 
The Pine Belt Pacers were represented by an enormous amount of people.  All of them placed in their categories.  Mr Anzola, Nestor, Pijume Diwesi, the Pacer guy with the funny accent, Raul, and the fastest Colombian in Montague Blvd all competed in the 5K Walk and brought the Masters title back to Hattiesboring.  Complete results can ve found in the MTC webpage
