On Saturday, March 11, I competed in the Bayou City Classic 10K National Master's Championship in Houston, TX. Prior to being passed by two centipedes, I thought I was having a good race. The first centipede consisted of Catholic School girls being punished by an evil man. The second centipede was a nose---you know, that thing on your face. This nose was very fast. Anyway, I had a good race for an old lady. The official results list me as third in the age group. This is a bit misleading because the woman who actually was the fastest is the age group placed in the Master's age-graded division and there was no duplication of awards. This moved me from 4th to 3rd in the age group. © Becky Ryder
