Clyde ~ Epley~ Clyde

Fifty-Nine intrepid runners and walkers showed up at Clyde Station on the Longleaf Trace this morning, despite some threatening weather, and got their New Year's weekend off to a running start. All eventually finished, and some of the early finishers didn't even get wet! The temperature was in the 60's, so those who did get wet did not seem to mind.

After the race there were lots of hand-crafted trophies, and delicious food.
The past (Tony Mozingo), current (Jim Coll) and future (as of 1/1/07 - Dawn Smith) presidents of the Pine Belt Pacers were at the race, and yet there were no challenges to a duel! The club is mellowing?

Many thanks to the sponsors: Lamar Lumber Co., Dr. John Pendergrass, Southern Bone & Joint, Southeastern Concrete, Coca-Cola, and Lamar County. Net proceeds from the race will be contributed towards enhancements on the Longleaf Trace.
