Pinebelt Pacers Travel to Summerville, GA
Pinebelt Pacers Ian Bergin and Iva Lightsey attended the Twisted Ankle Trail Runs in Summerville, GA that was held on Saturday, May 20th. This was Ian's first time to run this race and Iva's second year. Both of them ran the marathon event. The temp at the 9:00 start was 76 degrees with 60 percent humidity and the high at 94 degrees for the back-of-the-pack finishers. There were 150 runners that toed the line for the Marathon and the Half-Marathon events. As it was last year, there were many newcomers to the marathon distance. Iva moved up in the age grouping this year. Last year, she placed third in the 40-44 group. This year, she again placed third but in the 45-49 age group.
