Race Report March 10th, Race for the Cure, Baton Rouge

What a beautiful day!!  It is starting to heat up, good for me, bad for Charles, although he continues his winning streak!!  He beat me, (for the 3rd time in a row), and actually set a PR.  (Which he says he isn't reporting, because he says he is going to set another one next week).

Anyway, this race had 8000 participants and raised over 200,000 dollars for cancer research.  The race itself was measured true, (which is always nice). It was pretty flat overall so the course was fairly fast.  There was plenty of adult beverages afterward, which is why I feel Charles keeps beating me lately.  He wants to be first in line and this motivates him to charge ahead of me!!

Our Pacers were well represented this day.  Jim Coll, won his age division, Ginny Dufrene was 2nd in hers, and I won my age division.  Charles was first in the beer line.

A good day, a good race, a good cause!!!  Audrey
