Pine Belt Pacer John Caleb Grenn at the High School Indoor Classic at LSU

Pine Belt Pacer and U-Coach runner John Caleb Grenn placed in 8th place in the 3200 meter race at the High School Indoor Classic at LSU this weekend.  His time was 10:42.  This is a really big meet that usually starts the indoor track season for high school athletes throughout the south.  There were teams from Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Iowa and Mississippi, so it was stiff competition.  The track at LSU is 200 meters so a runner does twice as many laps as on a outdoor track.  John Caleb is a sophomore at Presbyterian High School. Other  U-Coach runners who excelled at the meet were phenom Cory McGee, Matthew Cameron and Ruth-Anne Hadjis.  The results can be seen at dyestat.com or lsusports.net © Chip Grenn
