Aprox. 90 participants ran in the USM Payne
Center and Forrest General Intervent sponsored "My First 5K" on
October 20th at the Gateway. It was a beautiful day for a
race. Everyone was so excited and for many people, this was
truly their first 5K. This race was a huge success largely due
to the efforts of many people who volunteered their time and
efforts to make this event special for all the participants. If
I named some of them, I would surely leave out someone, so let
me just thank all of you who donated your special talents. I
hope to see many of you in future races as you begin your
