15 week 5K Training Program Week #1

About 25 runners of all levels attended the first meeting of Becky's 15 week 5K Training Program.  The workout started with Becky giving some information on running and techniques of training.  Then the participants were divided in three groups: beginners, intermediate, and advanced runners.  There was a 1-mile warm-up followed by the speed session.  Sets of 100m, 200m, 300m, and 400m with equal distance jogging recovery were done.   After the hard work, everyone finished with 1 mile of easy jog.  A couple of participant in the meeting joined the Pine Belt Pacers Club.  Great job Becky!
