TRAYCARE
Printing Supplement Labels in TRAYCARE
1. The label print is set up for an Avery 5160 address label, Avery 8160 address label, or the equivalent, available at most office supply stores. They come on 8 ½” x 11” sheets, 3 labels across and 10 down.
2.
Plan
your label printing to minimize wasted labels. You can vary your Print
Instructions (From and To on Name, and From and To on Unit) to limit
the number of labels you are printing. For example, suppose you have a
Unit with 70 residents, all of whom get supplements for this printing,
so you set the Unit parameters to get the specific unit, and a to z on
names. a.
Print
the labels. You will get 2 full sheets of labels and one sheet with 20
labels remaining unused. b.
Handle
the labels sheets carefully so that they will feed through the printer
on the second usage. Do not try to use labels if the sheet has been
folded, or spilt on. Remember that in removing labels the label itself
should remain flat, and the backing bent enough to remove the label. c.
On
the next printing, set the name parameters to get no more than 20
labels. E.g.: a to j. (Use preview while you experiment to find the
right setting). Turn the partially used label sheet over and put it on
top of the stack of label sheets. The labels print left to right, and
then down, so any unused labels on a partially used row will be at the
beginning of the row. d.
Print
the 20 labels. e.
Reset
the name settings, E.g.: k to z and print the remaining labels. |
