1.
Load
the TRAYCARE system onto your computer. a.
Insert
the TRAYCARE install CD into your CD drive. If your Autorun feature is
enabled (default), it will automatically start the install. If not,
start the install via your Start menu or Windows Explorer b.

on Start | Run and browse to your CD drive ii

the batch file Install.bat and Enter iii

When
the install program reports a successful install, eject the TRAYCARE
install CD and store it for safekeeping 2.
The
install program will attempt to put a shortcut to TRAYCARE on your
desktop. If it did not, there are several ways to create a shortcut to
TRAYCARE on your desktop (skip if you do not want a desktop shortcut to
TRAYCARE) a.
Drag
and Drop method i
In
Windows Explorer, browse to the TRAYCARE directory. Be sure your desktop
is visible. If the Desktop is not visible then the Explorer window is
maximized. Click on the Restore icon ( from
left to right: Minimize, Restore, Close) in the upper right hand corner
of Explorer to reduce the Explorer window to a smaller size. Adjust the
window as necessary to see the install files on the CD and the Desktop
at the same time by clicking on the right or bottom border and holding
the mouse button down while you drag the border. ii
Select
(left click) the TRAYCARE shortcut iii
Right
click, and holding the right mouse button down, drag it to the Desktop
and release the button iv

click and drag the mouse pointer to the desktop iii

the Data files if necessary (this will not have to be done on installs

Hold
down the left hand Shift key, and double click on the Desktop shortcut b.
TRAYCARE
will come up in troubleshooting mode. At the very top, Click on Tools |
Database Utilities | Linked Table Manager c.
When
the Linked Tables window appears, click in the Always Prompt for New
Location box, and click the Select All button. d.
Now
browse to the install directory (normally C:\Traycare), select
TCData.prg, and click OK e.
After
the program reports the files were linked successfully, click Close, and
close down all open TRAYCARE windows. f.
Start
TRAYCARE (normal start) by double clicking on the Desktop Icon.
