As you know, the
Lamar County Planning Department has
decided to
go forward with their plans to have a 5K
run on April 30th in connection with the Spring
Festival at Little Black Creek Water Park. The specifics are: 5K run, slightly hilly out and back course at scenic Little Black Creek Water Park, between Lumberton and Purvis, Mississippi. 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30th. Unique, custom awards in usual age groups. Other festival activities include fireworks, hay rides, musical entertainment, etc. Fill out your entry form now! . The event, which will be held Saturday, April 30, will now earn you points toward a Pine Belt Pacer Gran Prix Championship. In addition, as a PAID member of the Pacers, you will receive a small discount on your entry fee.
Directions: Exit I
59 at the Purvis exit. Go into
Purvis and turn left on Highway 11 at the
red light. Go about 1/2 mile and turn right at the next red
light (Sonic) onto Shelby Speights Boulevard. Immediately after you pass the
First Baptist Church of Purvis, turn left and go about 5 miles,
then turn left. There is a sign at the church, and
there should be signs the rest of the way to the Park.
The water park is only about 8 miles from Purvis.
Travel time is about thirty minutes from Exit 65/I59
(Hardy Street / Hwy 98). |
