A large crowd turned out on a relatively comfortable Labor Day
to try their hand at one of the flattest 5Ks around. 125 runners
and walkers registered, and over 100 finished. Times were fast,
especially in the 20-29 age groups. Thanks to our fine sponsors
there were lots of door prizes and refreshment after the run.
Many thanks to them and to all the runners for supporting this
race, which raised about $2000 for the Muscular Dystrophy
Association. As usual, Race Director Keith Barrett did a great
job of organizing and directing the race; except for a glitch in
passing out the Race Walker awards due to a poorly supervised
worker, all went smoothly. Results will be posted here as soon
as they are available.
